Il Daf Dance Arts Faculty, centro di formazione professionale per la danza con sede a Roma in via di Pietralata, annuncia l’apertura della nuova Stagione. DAF sviluppa un sistema formativo di respiro internazionale integrato con tutto ciò che, accanto alle tecniche sul movimento, possa arricchire da un punto di vista espressivo-culturale le nuove generazioni. Un progetto di ampie vedute che ospita ogni anno artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo secondo un ricco e fitto calendario. Un vero e proprio viaggio di conoscenza e profonda trasformazione che dà la possibilità ai giovani di allargare i propri orizzonti artistici e culturali.
Dal 17 al 21 ottobre 2022 e poi a Febbraio 2023 torna per la terza volta ad insegnare e a firmare una creazione, Alex Clair, danzatrice, performer e creatrice freelance di Tel Aviv, Israele. Alex Clair si è diplomata alla Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts sotto la direzione di Lily Weiss e in seguito ha conseguito il BFA presso il Conservatory of Dance al Purchase College (SUNY) di New York. Durante la sua permanenza a New York, Alex ha lavorato e si è esibita con coreografi tra cui Troy Ogilvie, Doug Varone, Guy Shomroni e Yaniv Abraham e Bombshell Dance Project. Alex lavora con Omri Drumlevich dal 2019 e nel 2021 ha presentato in anteprima un’opera per il Curtain Up Festival di Tel Aviv. Contemporaneamente, Alex ha lavorato con Andrea Costanzo Martini alla nuova creazione “Mood Shifters”, presentata anche in anteprima come parte del Tel Aviv Curtain Up Festival e ha continuato a esibirsi in tutto Israele. Alex è una ballerina di On Mending, progetto ideato e diretto da Emilie Leriche e Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern che è stato presentato in anteprima come cortometraggio e continua ad evolversi come produzione teatrale dal vivo. È un’artista ospite al Daf Dance Arts Faculty (Italia) come creatrice, insegnante e mentore. Di recente ha lavorato con Madison Hicks (NYC) per una nuova creazione che è stata presentata in anteprima a Orsolina28 in Italia e continuerà a crescere per tutto il 2023. Attualmente insegna e crea in tutto Israele, inclusa l’Accademia di danza e musica di Gerusalemme.
The Daf Dance Arts Faculty based in Rome in via di Pietralata, announces the opening of the new Season. DAF develops an international training system integrated with everything that, alongside the movement techniques, can enrich the new generations from an expressive and cultural point of view. A big project that every year hosts artists from all over the world. A real and deep journey of knowledge that gives young people a possibility of transformation to broaden their artistic and cultural horizons.
Alex Clair is a freelance dancer, performer and creator based in Tel Aviv, Israel. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts under the direction of Lily Weiss, and later received her BFA from The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College (SUNY) in New York. During her time in New York, Alex worked and performed with choreographers including Troy Ogilvie, Doug Varone, Guy Shomroni & Yaniv Abraham, and Bombshell Dance Project. Alex has worked with Omri Drumlevich since 2019 and recently premiered a work for the Curtain Up Festival in Tel Aviv 2021. Simultaneously, Alex worked with Andrea Costanzo Martini on the new creation “Mood Shifters” which also premiered as part of the Tel Aviv Curtain Up festival and has continued to perform throughout Israel. Alex is a dancer with On Mending, a project crafted and directed by Emilie Leriche and Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern that premiered as a short film and continues to evolve into a live stage production. She is a returning guest artist with Dance Arts Faculty in Rome (Italy) as a creator, teacher, and mentor. She recently worked with Madison Hicks (NYC) for a new creation that premiered at Orsolina28 in Italy and will continue to grow throughout the 2023 year. She is currently teaching and creating throughout Israel including The Jerusalem Acadmeny of Dance and Music.
